The new year always gives us a new opportunity to set intentions. We set intentions to change a bad habit or to fulfill a dream, and sometimes it doesn’t work out. We could try to set an intention to reflect on timeless teachings. Then, see what happens.
Here are five sutras for the Aquarian Age.
- Recognize the other person is you.
- There is a way through every block.
- When the time is on you, start, and the pressure will be off.
- Understand through compassion, or you will misunderstand the times.
- Vibrate the Cosmos, and the Cosmos shall clear the path.
These are great teachings. They provide a neutral platform from which to refine your personal intentions. Over the new year, spend time reflecting on these five Sutras. Compose a song about them. Compose a poem inspired by the five sutras. Paint a colorful painting illuminating your impression of the Sutras. Write a story or essay to reflect on how these teachings might enrich your experience of your own consciousness. Not only will you enter 2017 with renewed confidence in your artistic sensibilities, but you will also have an artistic expression of your own consciousness.
Over the new year, also practice the meditation to “Give Yourself New Life” from the SELF Knowledge Kundalini Yoga manual. It is a challenging meditation but takes no more of nine minutes of your time. It is powerful! If you do it for 40 days, you can rebuild the molecular structure of the body.
Why not make a habit of remembering that we are all one; we can make it through anything; and if we make conscious choices, we have the Cosmos on our side?
May the New Year bring you renewed Spirit and confidence in your own consciousness. May you set your big, beautiful intention and—no matter what—fulfill that intention. May you happily embrace the blessings of the Five Sutras of the Aquarian Age! May your relationship with these Sutras bring you Cosmic Joy! Sat Nam!
