In April 2019, Sat Nam Fest will bring Simran Kaur with Guru Prem to teach Divine Alignment. This workshop will give you deeper awareness of your body alignment in yoga postures; but what’s more, you grow new awareness of your own heart, ways you express your heart, and ways to open the heart that lead to your life flowing with greater love, compassion, awareness, energy, and strength.

You can excel beyond any broken heart, or old imprints of sadness, fear, or anger. You can live in your truth and in your divine heart.

Here, Simran Kaur blesses Sat Nam Fest with answers to some interview questions.  Let her words help you feel at ease; realize that you do not need to be perfect to be in divine alignment.

What is your vision and intention for your Wednesday workshop at Sat Nam Fest West this April 2019?

Simran Kaur: Divine Alignment is so much more than just postures, so my intent is to gift as many people as are blessed to attend, an experience of the power within themselves to change how they feel, how they hold their heart and its contents and a new relationship to their yoga practice.

People are surprised on taking a course with us, realizing that it is not just a ‘postures’ class but rather how we express our hearts contents in our unique body. Also, the workshop focuses on how we become aware of this expression and what power we have to change it.

What new adventures have you enjoyed lately that have had an impact on your growth / transformation?

Simran Kaur: I have been all over the world, China, Mexico, Chile, Europe, the US and I see people everywhere who are transformed by this practice! What I am impacted and humbled by is the technology of the practice of Kundalini Yoga, as it transcends borders and races and it serves us as humans, allowing us to really BE human! This inspires me to practice more and continue to grow and be the example of human I want to see!

What is an important message that you feel yogis and spiritual seekers need to hear nowadays?

Simran Kaur: You don’t have to get it perfect.  We are all works in progress, so be kind to yourself, while remembering that growth happens just outside your comfort zone.  When you are comfortably uncomfortable, that is where growth happens.

What keeps you energized and committed to your practice?

Simran Kaur: I am not always energized, I often hit plateaus! I may always be committed to my meditation practice, it is as necessary as air to me.  However, with other aspects of the practice, I find myself going through waves, ebbing and flowing. For example, right now I am committed to exercising more, using my body weight and more challenging moves. I do yoga, but sometimes what I do becomes easy and not challenging, so I find myself cruising along and I have to reinvigorate my practice. I seek out others who are doing what I want to be doing, or who inspire me to be better or hang out and join with others who are doing what I want to be doing!

What do you think is a secret to maintaining well-being as a mother, teacher, wife, and spiritual leader?

Simran Kaur: Take care of myself first, so I can show up with energy and vitality for all those I serve. To relax and have trust in that which gives me life, I am continually practicing the faith muscle that it will all be taken care of.  I am totally ok not being “busy”, with not doing anything, just being.

Have you ever been to Malibu Canyon?  How do you feel about the new location for Sat Nam Fest this year?

Simran Kaur: I have been to Malibu Canyon, which is beautiful, and I am very excited to see this new location with all the beautiful people who will be there for Sat Nam Fest. I love that it is in the trees and near the ocean!  The energy that is created by our gathering together is always uplifting and vibrant, and I know that this canyon will just enhance it!

Join Simran Kaur and Guru Prem on Wednesday, April 10 2019 for an experience that will open your heart to your potential.  In yoga poses, be more flexible, enhance your awareness, increase your energy, be in divine alignment to be in divine flow.
