Jai-Jagdeesh’s journey as a singer began over 20 years ago, in a temple in India,
and the soundcurrent continued all through her childhood. While at school in Amritsar,
she traveled around Northern India as one of the musical representatives of Yogi
Bhajan’s foreign education program (now Miri Piri Academy), playing kirtan everywhere
the students were invited. Between then and now, her creative spirit has walked
many artistic paths – actress, classical Indian dancer, photographer and writer
– and she says “I find myself in perfect balance now that music has returned to
the forefront.”
In 2010, Jai-Jagdeesh joined the Spirit Voyage family of recording artists. Her debut album, 'I Am Thine', a combination of sacred mantras and powerful English lyrics, was released in the summer of 2011 to record sales and acclaim. She began touring across the globe and performing at Sat Nam Fests, delighting crowds with her soulful voice and deeply authentic style. She released her first meditation CD of Kundalini mantra, 'The Expansive Spirit', as a part of Spirit Voyage's Meditations for Transformation series in early 2012.
Jai-Jagdeesh continues to record (a new album is due in June of 2013), perform, and express her heart's deepest creativity. She is completely devoted to sharing these sacred sounds, and sings them from the center of her heart. With humility, grace and kindness, she brings a bit of dance and lot of love to the world of kirtan.

Nirinjan Kaur was born in Vancouver, B.C. to a Kundalini Yoga practicing, Sikh family.
With two musical parents, shefound her love for singing at an early age. Her father
still tells stories of how Nirinjan could be heard singing her heart out to her
favorite songs, whether they were in the car going to school, or just playing around
the house. As time went on, she became very interested in Kundalini Yoga and the
Sikh faith, and became a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher at age 13. Sacred chanting
goes hand in hand with both of these traditions, and Nirinjan quickly found a merging
of two loves: spirituality and singing.

album of meditation music, ‘Sacred Waters’ being released at Summer Solstice 2013.

Snatam Kaur and the musical and spiritual atmosphere of her upbringing, Ajeet began

traditional Indian and Irish music, along with other folk traditions and western
musical styles. Along with music, the love of Ajeet’s life has been her study of
healing with her teacher Guru Dev Singh. Now, just out of college, Ajeet blends

Anthony Molina’s musical journey began, literally, in a church. “My dad was a pastor,”
he explained. “It was very much this spiritual connection.” It was a bi-lingual
Spanish and English church with a Pentecostal feel. There was a Hammond B3 and a
gospel choir. From the age of seven, Molina took up the alto saxophone for the band,
while his brother Jason played the trumpet- a musical collaboration that would alternate
roles over the years, but continues vibrantly to the present day.
A burgeoning interest in sound healing and Kundalini yoga has brought Molina to
explore the vast implications of the gong. The gong is said to contain all the sounds
of the Universe, able to clear the subconscious. Molina’s interest was immediate.
“There is something other worldly going on with it. I gravitate towards it. No two
gongs sound the same, no two players sound the same. It just seemed like the most
logical step, after playing in a cosmic rock band.”
As the accompaniment vocalist for The GuruGanesha Band, Michelle's soulful vocals
are like a finely tuned instrument, able to bring the perfect balance to every song
with a range from the sweetest melodies to the most rocking beats to soulful bluesy
jazz songs. A writer and composer in her own right, some of Michelle's amazing songs
have become a part of The GuruGanesha Band's performances to the delight of audiences
everywhere.
A multi-instrumentalist, composer, music producer and life long lover of music and
healing, Hans Christian shines as a part of The GuruGanesha Band. Playing the instrument
that was his first love, cello, Hans makes any audience melt with the first soulful
strokes, filling the room with magic. He also plays an amazing array of instruments
switching from cello to sitara to nyckelharpa to sarangi, introducing sounds and
notes to the music that carried its style to all corners of the planet.
The GuruGanesha Band's accompaniment guitarist, Sat Kartar Singh brings a gentle
touch to the band's music with his finger picking and sweet vocals. Singing the
sweetest harmonies alongside GuruGanesha Singh and Michelle, their voices blend
to perfection. A Kundalini Yoga teacher and practitioner, Sat Kartar Singh's positive
energy on and off stage keeps the band uplifted and smiling wherever they go.
The GuruGanesha Band's bassist, Gurusangat makes his home in Massachusetts, where
he teaches Kundalini yoga and its rich tradition of Gurumukhi mantras. Earlier this
year, he put aside studies in jazz guitar to man the bass for the GuruGanesha Band.
From the way he’s taken to the instrument, it’s clear to me that he’s got some real
serious bass karma!
