“Travel light, live light, spread the light, be the light.” – Yogi Bhajan

Light. That seems to be the goal. A light heart. A light mind. A light attitude. We wish to be the light, see the light, and feel the light. In these heavy times though, it can seem impossible. So many are looking for answers, searching for truth, and grasping for that light that can often times seem fleeting.

One of the most simple yet difficult things we must understand if we are to find this light is that is does not come from an outside source. Yes, we can and must spark one another. We can find and be that flash point in many places. But the true light, the guiding light of your soul, emanates solely from within you. You must take the time to listen to what it is you are searching for.

Our eyes are often blind to the light that will guide us through the darkest hours or illuminate the path for another. Be still. Listen. Feel. Chant. Become one with the light inside you, and then let it shine! Perhaps you merely need this little reminder. Or perhaps a trip to Joshua Tree is in order, for five days of intensive self-love at Sat Nam Fest. Either way, “May the light of 1000 suns shine through. Live the life of grace that you were meant to. Wahe Guru!”
